Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for the Shamli-Gorakhpur high-speed corridor, a 742 km greenfield project costing approximately Rs 40,000 crore. This crucial west-to-east link aims to significantly reduce travel time across northern and northeastern India. Land acquisition is underway in 17 districts, with the expressway expected to be operational by 2030.
