A junior clerk in Gonda has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor and defrauding her of Rs 7 lakh. The accused, Ashish Singh, befriended the 16-year-old victim while assisting with her mother’s pension, then exploited her trust for sexual relations and financial gain. The case surfaced when the victim discovered Singh was already married.
