A shocking honour crime has emerged in Basti district. A 25-year-old man, Anees, was shot dead just seven days after his wedding. Police have arrested his wife, Rukhsana, and her lover, Rinku. The couple allegedly planned the murder after continuing their affair post-marriage. Rukhsana is accused of providing her husband’s movements to Rinku, who then carried out the fatal shooting.
