Mamata Banerjee can offer comments about Governor conforming to law: high Court

The High Court upset an interval request passed by a single-judge bench which directed Mamata Banerjee and three other Trinamool Congress pioneers not to make any “defamatory or incorrect” statement against the Governor.

The Calcutta High Court on Friday explained its past request which barred West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee from making “incorrect or defamatory” statements against governor CV Ananda Bose. While the court allowed the chief minister to offer expressions about the governor, it said such remarks should conform to the laws.
