Supreme Court Issues Notice to Telangana CM in Cash-for-Vote Case Transfer Plea

The petitioner’s lawyer argued before the Supreme Court bench, expressing concerns: ‘With the main accused now holding the position of CM and also in charge of the home ministry, can we truly anticipate a fair trial in this case?

On Friday, the Supreme Court directed a notice to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and co-accused individuals, in light of a plea urging the transfer of the 2015 cash-for-vote case trial from Telangana to Bhopal. Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta, presiding over the bench, set the hearing date for four weeks from now.
