Supreme Court Starts Enquiry After Solicitor Prevents Documenting Request and Cases Obliviousness From getting Advocates Who Addressed Him

The Supreme Court today expressed utter shock in a case where the petitioner, in whose name a special leave petition (criminal) was filed, appeared and told the court that he had not filed the case. Rather, someone had impersonated him and filed it under a conspiracy, he claimed.

The matter was first recorded on May 17, 2024, when notice was given by a bench of Judges Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal. From there on, on July 9, 2024, the candidate composed a letter to the Secretary-General of the SC Registry expressing that on July 3, he was called to a police station in Buduan, UP, where he was pulled out of the current case and his marks were gotten on a structure.

In his letter, the applicant explained that he had neither connected any advocate to record the moment SLP, nor marked any vakalatnama or oath in such manner. He likewise guaranteed that another person documented the request under a connivance and looked for severe activity against such person(s).
