This move, coinciding with a new tariff order, is expected to boost UPPCL’s revenue by approximately Rs 40 crore monthly through fixed charges. Consumer groups question the infrastructure’s capacity to handle the increased demand, highlighting a significant gap between system capacity and connected load.
