Former Deoria Basic Shiksha Adhikari Shalini Srivastava was arrested in Delhi after being declared absconding in connection with an assistant teacher’s suicide. The teacher had accused officials of extortion and harassment before dying by suicide. A reward was announced for information leading to Srivastava’s arrest.
