A 16-year-old girl in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly strangled by her father over her inter-community relationship. The father, Hardev Chauhan, was arrested after the girl’s mother reported him. The family had previously opposed the relationship, and the girl had eloped with her boyfriend months earlier.
